Dustin Box

Owner/Founder

Dustin began his marital arts journey as a young adult with in traditional marital arts (American Kenpo and Shotokan Karate) and boxing, eventually transitioning to MMA in 2006. At this time he began competing both in traditional tournaments and MMA promotions.

He spent several years bouncing in night clubs in the Bay Area in California. In 2012, he fell in love with Brazilian Jiujitsu and grappling and chose to focus on this. He has competed regularly since then winning several large tournaments.

Currently he still competes, but has focused in on coaching both child and adult students who have a strong competition win record.

Tristan Box

Tristan is Dustin’s oldest child who first started Brazilian Jiujitsu at the age of 7. He has trained and competed regularly since then. He’s an incredible help both helping coach in class and at tournaments.

Nate Jemery

Nate started his martial arts journey at the age of 13 in taekwondo as a way to keep me straight and narrow. After about 2 years he started training Traditional shoalin Kung fu for most of his teens and early adult life. He has also briefly studied other martial arts such as Okinawan Karate, Krav Maga, and boxing. He had always wanted to study some type of grappling art, so when he found Bearclan he started his journey with Brazilian Jiujitsu. Like Bruce Lee said, "Never limit yourself to one style."
